The Vulture region, in the North of Basilicata, lays at the feet of an ancient vulcano, inactive for millennia, that features two water ponds. All around, rounding hills covered by centuries-old olive trees and vineyards. The nematodes of the wine is Aglianico del Vulture and was famous since the time of the roman poet Orazio Flacco who in his poems describes the goodness of the wine. Orazio Flacco was burnin Venosa, picturesque village with a roman plan and with an important archeological site, where the full day of the excursion will start. You lunch will be done there and will be based on local “lucani” products. In the afternoon a guided visit of the vineyard and cellar with a selected Aglianico wine tasting.

Included: certified English speaking guide,,,, entrance at the Venosa archeological site, Venosa city tour, lunch at restaurant “Da Avalos” with wine and water included, vineyard guided visit in Barile with wine tasting, private car for the excursion.
